Lori Brown

Lori Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Lori began their career as a Securities and Business Regulation Division Intern at the Georgia Secretary of State in 2008. During their internship, they reviewed registration renewal applications for charities and non-profits, screened documents for cemetery and funeral home renewal registrations, and provided copies of state-owned records to private firms.

In 2011, Lori joined The R.A. Siegel Company as a Staff Accountant. In this role, they entered end-of-month adjusting general ledger entries, filed sales tax for Florida and Alabama, and led an initiative to decrease AP closeout time.

From 2015 to 2016, Lori worked as an Accountant II at Goodwill of North Georgia. Lori'sresponsibilities included balancing the operating cash account, submitting positive-pay files to the bank, and reporting changes in workers' compensation claims.

In 2016, Lori joined Worldpay as a Senior Accountant. Lori prepared daily accounting entries for credit settlement and cash activity, conducted month-end close procedures, and reviewed entries of lower level staff.

Following this, Lori worked at Flexdrive as a Senior Accountant in 2018. Lori developed a scalable process for billing dealers, filed sales tax for multiple states, and built balance sheet reconciliations in Excel.

In 2018, Lori returned to Worldpay as a Senior Settlement Accountant until 2023. Lori'sresponsibilities included making improvements to settlement balancing and reconciliation spreadsheets, onboarding new BIN clients, and preparing quarterly compliance reports for Visa and MasterCard.

Most recently, Lori joined Corvia in 2023 as a Settlement Accounting Manager. Further details about their role in this position are not provided.

Lori Brown pursued their education at Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Lori completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Finance in the years 2005 to 2009. During the same period, they also obtained a second BBA degree with a major in Accounting. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Lori pursued their Master's degree in Taxation at the same institution.
