Jeff Romais

Survey Party Chief at F3 & Associates

Jeff Romais has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jeff started their career as a Graduate Student at Florida Atlantic University in 2013 and worked there until 2016. In 2014, Jeff joined Hazard Survey, Monitoring and Mitigation Co. as a VP, where they were responsible for delivering data to reduce negative impacts on infrastructure. Jeff worked in this role until 2017.

In 2017, they joined YSciT as the VP of Young Scientists in Training, a position they currently hold. Jeff also worked briefly as a candidate at NCSJAC from July to December 2018. Currently, Jeff is working at F3 & Associates as a Survey Party Chief, where they started in August 2018. F3 & Associates is a top California company that provides laser scanning, land survey, and BIM & VDC services.

Throughout their career, Jeff has gained valuable experience in surveying, data analysis, risk mitigation, and training young scientists.

Jeff Romais obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography/Digital Animation from the University of Minnesota from 1988 to 1991. Jeff then pursued further education at Broward College from 2011 to 2012, studying Science and Math. In 2013, Jeff attended Florida Atlantic University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geosciences with a focus on GIS, completing their studies in 2016. In 2018, they completed a Land Survey Pre-Apprentice Training program offered by the Northern California Surveyors Joint Apprenticeship Committee. Later that year, they also completed a Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program at CTCNC. Additionally, Jeff obtained the certification "Fundamentals of Surveying" from NCEES in March 2023.
