Sergio Cherskov

Chief Quality Engineering Architect at F5 Networks

Sergio Cherskov has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Sergio started their career as a Communications Software Engineer at Electronic Data Technologies in 1990. From there, they moved on to become a Staff Engineer at IGT, where they led a team of Win32 developers and was responsible for developing and maintaining Casino Player Tracking Card Box Firmware.

In 1997, Cherskov joined Microsoft and held several positions including Test Lead for Windows CE OS, Device Drivers, FileSys, Kernel, and Security. Sergio later became the Principal Test Manager for Windows Mobile Networking & Cellular, where they built and directed a team of 50+ engineers. Sergio also served as the Principal Test Architect and Test Manager for SQL Engineering System Data Insights, overseeing large-scale divisional engineering tools and improving efficiency of service-based engineering processes.

In 2013, Cherskov joined Intel Corporation as the Engineering Manager/Validation SW Architect/Data Scientist. In this role, they oversaw the deployment of Intel Saffron associative memory cognitive platform for Intel validation/engineering scenarios.

Currently, Cherskov serves as the Chief Quality Engineering Architect at F5 Networks, where they ensure sound quality engineering practices and rock solid CI/CD infrastructure for next-gen, cloud-based application delivery networking technology. Sergio also focuses on continuous telemetry, data mining, and AI to ensure high reliability, stability, and performance at cloud scale.

Throughout their career, Cherskov has received recognition and awards for their contributions, including Engineering Excellence awards and patents.

Sergio Cherskov completed a Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Split, from 1981 to 1985.
