Steve Gorman

Steve Gorman has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Steve started their career as a System Engineer at Wandel and Goltermann Inc., where they provided network monitoring and security analysis. Steve then worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Empowered Networks, specializing in test and measurement technologies. At Blue Coat Systems (acquired by Symantec), Steve was a Senior Systems Engineer, supporting customers in implementing data security solutions. Steve later joined Symantec as a Senior Systems Engineer, focusing on presales support for various security technologies. Most recently, Steve worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Forcepoint, where they were responsible for deploying their technology and assisting customers in transitioning to cloud solutions. Steve is currently working as a Principal Solution Engineer at F5. Steve's expertise includes encryption, authentication, data loss prevention, and cloud security.

Steve Gorman holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering from Western University, completed in 1992. Steve also obtained a Technical Writer Diploma from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1994. Additionally, Steve has gained certifications such as Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services in March 2022, Certified Forcepoint NGFW Administrator from Forcepoint in an unspecified year, Certified Forcepoint DLP Administrator from Forcepoint in 2020, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng.) recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario.
