Iwa Stefanik-Ricci has a diverse work experience. Iwa began working as an intern at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. From there, they went on to be a tutor and skills trainer at Maastricht University and a member of a transnational group at McMaster University. In 2014, they conducted a field-oriented research project on solid waste management at Manipal University. Iwa also worked as a research fellow at the University of Coimbra, focusing on topics such as urban health and sustainable mobility. In 2018, they served as a project manager at ERA@UC and then became an innovation funding maestra at F6S. Iwa Stefanik-Ricci has a diverse education history. Iwa completed their Bachelor's degree in European Public Health at Maastricht University in the Netherlands from 2010 to 2013. During this time, they also participated in the Erasmus exchange program at Sabanci University in Istanbul in 2012, focusing on the Faculty of Arts, Social and Political Sciences.
Iwa then pursued a Master's degree in Tourism and Recreation majoring in Physical Recreation at Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego we Wrocławiu from 2006 to 2008. Later, in 2013 to 2014, Iwa obtained their Master's degree in Global Health at the Faculty of Medicine & Life Sciences from Maastricht University.
Iwa further extended their education by attending a summer course in Global Health Diplomacy at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2016. In the same year, they also completed a Master's degree in Global Health at the Faculty of Public Health in Thammasat University, School of Global Studies in Bangkok, Thailand.
