Hans Stavnsager

Hans Stavnsager is the current Mayor at Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Center for Frivilligt Socialt Arbejde from August 2014 to January 2018. In their role as a Senior Consultant, Hans focused on the legal framework for association work and volunteering, leadership in voluntary organizations, organizational development, cooperation between the public and voluntary sectors, etc.

Center for Frivilligt Socialt Arbejde is the national knowledge center for volunteering in the welfare area. The center strengthens and develops volunteering and builds bridges between knowledge and practice across the voluntary sector in the social sector.

The center offers counseling, courses, professional networks, consultant assistance, analysis, data and knowledge about volunteer work in the welfare sector. Center for Frivilligt Socialt Arbejde is a self-governing institution under the Ministry of Children and Social Affairs.

Hans has also served on the board of Idrættens Analyseinstitut and Cevea. From 1996 to 2000, they were the Secretary General of Danish Youth Council.

Hans Stavnsager went to Midtfyns Gymnasium, a school in Denmark.
