Ian Cruickshank, CPA

Ian Cruickshank, CPA, is an experienced financial professional with over six years of experience in the field. Ian currently serves as the Director of Finance at Fable Home, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were the Financial Controller at heycar and AvenueHQ, both positions they held from 2019 to 2018 respectively. Before that, they served as a Senior Associate at KPMG Canada from 2015 to 2014. Ian began their career as a Junior Analyst and Accounting Associate at Bench Accounting in 2014, where they assisted co-founders in the planning and creation of a US tax filing service, researched US tax filing industry regulations, competition, and financials, planned and managed client acquisition surveys, project development timelines, and company updates on progress, assisted in devising a preliminary pricing model and operational cost model, developed an internal employee happiness model, and developed and maintained several operations efficiency dashboards.

Ian Cruickshank, CPA obtained their Chartered Professional Accountant certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia in January 2019. Ian completed a Diploma in Accounting from the UBC Sauder School of Business between 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics/Commerce from the University of Victoria between 2009 and 2014. During their time at the University of Victoria, they also took courses at the Università Bocconi in Economics and Finance in 2012.
