Erik de Vries

Erik de Vries is an industry advisor at FabricNano. Erik was previously a EU project coordinator at Enzymicals AG from November 2020 to February 2022. In this role, they managed all administration for Enzymicals for a 4-year long Horizon 2020 EU project on enzymatic polymer degradation. Prior to that, they were a consultant at University of Manchester Innovation Factory from August 2021 to December 2021. In this role, they identified specific enzymes and enzyme classes for which the startup's protein engineering technology would be suited, articulated a problem statement for each enzyme and suggested solutions/targets for improvement, developed insight into market size, and prioritized projects into short term and longer term revenue generation.

Erik de Vries has a Doctorate in Bioorganic Chemistry from the University of Groningen. Erik also attended CSG Oostergo en RUG.
