Additionally, Andrew has worked as an independent management consultant and founder & CEO of In Turn Information Management Consulting, where they focused on identity management and trust and assurance initiatives. Andrew has also contributed to the development of standards for identity management and privacy technologies as a National Body Industry Expert at the Standards Council of Canada. Andrew has expertise in identity architecture and has worked as a Director at IDEMIA and a Consultant at Mastercard. Earlier in their career, they were a Program Manager at IEEE Communications Society and a Consulting Director at Sierra Systems. Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in standards development, and strategic vision in the field of identity management.
Andrew Hughes obtained a BSc Honours degree in Biochemistry from Queen's University from 1988 to 1991. Andrew also holds additional certifications such as the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) obtained in 2008 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained in August 2004. Andrew is also a member of the IDPro Editorial Committee from the IDPro institution.
