James Macpherson

James Macpherson has held various roles in the financial industry since 1985. James started their career as a Graduate Trainee at S.G. Warburg in 1985, and then went on to become a Managing Director at Mercury Asset Management plc in 1987. In 1998, they joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as Co Head UK Equities and Managing Director. In 2006, they moved to BlackRock where they held the roles of Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Fundamental Active Equities and Co Head UK Equities. In 2017, they became a Non Executive Director at Facewatch and The Investor Forum CIC. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Non Executive Director at JPMORGAN GLOBAL GROWTH & INCOME PLC and Trustee/Treasurer/Advisory Board Member at River Action UK.

James Macpherson attended Trinity College, University of Oxford from 1982 to 1985, where they obtained an Exhibitioner and MA in PPE.
