Angela Deane

Angela Deane currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Facing History & Ourselves since September 2025. Previously held the role of Chief Development Officer and Acting Chief Development Officer at Human Rights Watch from January 2013 to July 2025, with additional experience as Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, and Senior Director for Development & Outreach. Angela also worked as New York City Director at Human Rights Watch, Development and Outreach Director at the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, Development Director at the Genocide Intervention Network, Catalyst School Chicago, and Center for the Homeless. Angela holds a Master's degree in Global Affairs from New York University, a Bachelor's degree in Communications and French from Miami University, and studied at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
