Michael Emmerson

Michael Emmerson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management and investment in the energy sector, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Factor[e] Ventures, Michael has successfully deployed over $5 million across ten technology deals focused on solar financing, off-grid solutions, and renewable energy infrastructure. Prior roles include Product Manager at ZOLA Electric, where Michael managed the Off Grid DC product line and implemented a refurbished product strategy, and a similar position at M-KOPA Solar, overseeing a project funded by the Shell Foundation. Michael's earlier experience includes analyzing mini-grid projects for the World Bank at Energy 4 Impact, and serving as a Management Consultant at Atkins with a focus on business cases and value chain analysis.
