Hassler Castro Cuesta

Hassler Castro Cuesta has been working in the field of data science since 2017. Hassler began as a Tutor at Universidad EAFIT in 2017, then became a Part-Time Intern and later a Full-Time Intern at Bancolombia in 2018. At Bancolombia, they worked on data pipelines, created and supported python packages, implemented and calibrated several VaR models, and wrote a paper comparing results from RNN versus classical methods for time series forecasting. Hassler also built a CI/CD system to deploy ML models faster using Docker/Gitlab. In 2020, they began working as a Data Engineer at Factored.

Hassler Castro Cuesta has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad EAFIT, obtained between 2016 and 2020. Hassler is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, expected to be completed in 2025. Hassler also holds certifications from Coursera, including Business Metrics for Data-Driven Companies (obtained in February 2022), Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau (obtained in November 2020), Fundamentals of Reinforcement Learning (obtained in February 2020), and Deep Learning Specialization (obtained in April 2019).
