Nelson Cárdenas Bolaño has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. In that year, they served as an Electronic Engineer Intern at Mar Caribe Clinic, where they were responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, training, and inventory. Nelson also developed an optimization of the nursing call system. Additionally, they were a Teacher Assistant in Programming at the University of Magdalena, where they taught pseudocode and C language, guided and encouraged students, and supported in teaching activities. In 2015, they were an Administrative Assistant for the Instrumentation and Signal Processing Laboratory at the University of Magdalena. In 2017, they were a Solutions Architect HPE at Controles Empresariales, where they developed product sales proposals and presented HPE certification tests. In 2018, they were a Mathematics and Physics Teacher at the Secretary of Education of Santa Marta. In 2020, they were a Data Scientist and Python Developer at Data Science for All by Correlation One, where they implemented a document scanning solution for the Colombian government using NLP, optical character recognition, and ML. Nelson also used web scraping, automatic keyword correction, anomaly detection, document classification, front-end, UX, and graphic design to build the tool. In 2021, they are a Machine Learning Engineer at Factored, and a Machine Learning Engineer Trainee.
Nelson Cárdenas Bolaño received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidad del Magdalena in 2016. Nelson then obtained various certifications from Coursera Course Certificates, IBM, EF Standard English Test (EF SET), Correlation One, and Astronomer. In 2021, they obtained a Machine Learning Specialization from DeepLearning.AI and a Docker Essentials: A Developer Introduction from IBM. In 2022, they obtained Astronomer Certifications for Apache Airflow Fundamentals and DAG Authoring for Apache Airflow from Astronomer. Finally, in 2023, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidad del Magdalena.
