Valentina Chaparro

Valentina Chaparro has worked in various roles in the field of data science since 2016. Valentina began their career as a Lecturer at PROTEGE TU CORAZON -PROTECT YOUR HEART (PTC) in 2016, where they gave lectures on character development, decision making and intelligent sexuality to children and teenagers. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant Intern at Fraunhofer IPA, processing, cleaning and analyzing data from sensors within a production chain framework. In 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist at Premex, where they conducted data analysis and developed statistics to measure productivity and detect inefficiencies in agricultural systems. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist at Grupodot, where they developed Machine Learning models and ML Pipelines for business solutions. In 2021, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer I at Factored, where they created a marketing monetization and acquisition PLX dashboard to measure performance and ROI for one of the biggest online sharing, streaming video and social media platforms. Currently, they are working as a Data Scientist at F, where they are creating metrics to evaluate the performance of the MMUF app, building dashboards to visualize business KPIs, and developing machine learning systems for user recommendations and search results.

Valentina Chaparro obtained a Mathematical Engineer degree from the School of Sciences at Universidad EAFIT between 2014 and 2019. Valentina has also obtained three certifications from Coursera in 2021, including Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects. Valentina is currently working towards a certification in Convolutional Neural Networks from Coursera.
