Pei Shi

Pei Shi currently serves as a Senior Scientist at Factorial Energy, starting in June 2023. Prior to this role, Pei Shi was a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University from August 2018 to May 2023, contributing to the Battery500 project focused on developing materials for high-energy-density and long cycling lithium metal batteries, and also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Chemical Plants Design (ChE 470). Earlier experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from September 2015 to March 2018, where research centered on developing safe electrolytes for advanced lithium-ion batteries. Pei Shi earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, a Master of Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
