Mažvydas Mackevičius (PhD)

Mažvydas Mackevičius (PhD) has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2006. From 2006 to 2012, they worked at UAB "Asseco Lietuva" as a J2EE and Oracle PL/SQL developer and in software development. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Tieto as a Java & PL/SQL developer. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Inntec as a Lead Technical Architect and at Alna Software as a Senior Java Developer/Team Lead. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Debitum as a Technical Consultant and Chief Technology Officer, and at ORCA Alliance as a Solidity, Ethereum Blockchain Advisor. Since 2019, they have been a Technical Architect Team Lead as a contractor. Mažvydas is currently the Head of Engineering at Factris, a position they have held since 2022.

Mažvydas Mackevičius (PhD) completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Vilniaus Universitetas / Vilnius University in 2006. Mažvydas then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from the same institution in 2008. In 2009, they began their PhD in Informatics at Vilniaus Universitetas / Vilnius University, which they completed in 2013. Prior to their university studies, Mažvydas attended Salomejos Neries gimnazija. In addition to their degrees, Mažvydas has also obtained certifications in TOGAF 9 Foundation from The Open Group in 2016, Java Enterprise Edition 5 Web Component Developer Certified Professional (OCWCD/SCWCD5) in 2011, and Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP6) in 2011.
