In 2015, they also worked at The World Bank as a Data Scientist, focusing on expanding and developing a prototype SMS warranty management system for a larger proposal with members from Ethiopia.

Earlier in their career, Alex was a Data Science Fellow at The ASI, participating in a post-doctoral training program in data science and business analytics. Alex received training in various data science tools and technologies and received mentoring in machine learning and data streaming.

Alex's academic background includes roles as a lab demonstrator at the University of Oxford. Alex served as an Engineering Computation Lab Demonstrator in the CDT DPhil Programme, and also as a P5 Computational Methods Lab Demonstrator, aiding first-year undergraduate students in developing computational skills using Matlab.

Alex Clibbon attended Reading School from 1999 to 2006. Alex then continued their education at the University of Oxford, completing a CDT DPhil in Healthcare Innovation in the field of Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 2011 to 2015.
