Dr Rowland Illing

Dr. Rowland Illing currently serves as the Director and Chief Medical Officer for Global Healthcare and Nonprofits at Amazon Web Services, in addition to holding the position of Director and Chief Medical Officer for International Public Sector Health since September 2020. Additionally, Dr. Illing is an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL and a member of the World Health Organization's Roster of Experts for Digital Health. With extensive involvement in various organizations, Dr. Illing is a member of the European AI Alliance, a visiting professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka, and a founder member of the Society of Interventional Oncology. Dr. Illing has held senior roles and advisory positions at Affidea and Microsoft, respectively. The educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oxford and various leadership and medical degrees from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics.
