Richard Cross has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Richard started their career as a Vice President at First and Merchants National Bank, where they gained experience in various banking functions. Richard then joined Best Products Co., Inc. as Vice President and Treasurer, overseeing their financial operations. Richard later became President of Vaapco, Inc., a manufacturer of disc brake pads, where they also held positions with industry associations. Richard later ventured into entrepreneurship, owning Patient Education Programs LLC for over a decade. Currently, Richard serves as Managing Director at both Hollyport Ventures LLC, a builder of "green" homes, and Fahrenheit Advisors, a consulting services firm.
Richard Cross attended St. Christopher's School from 1964 to 1968, however, no degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. Richard then went on to complete their undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia from 1968 to 1972, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics. Continuing their education, Richard pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the University of Richmond, from 1973 to 1979. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained LEED Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in September 2013, and later achieved LEED Accredited Professional (AP) - Homes certification from the same institution in June 2014.
