Kendra Valkema has extensive experience in program management and evaluation within the food and education sectors. Currently serving as Evaluation Manager and Information Manager at Fair Food Network since September 2019, Kendra has previously held the role of Program Manager at Community Food Club from July 2016 to September 2019. Prior to this, Kendra worked as a Teaching Assistant at Downtown Market Grand Rapids and as a Service Member with FoodCorps at DC Greens and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education. Kendra's early career includes research positions at Northwestern University, where Kendra was an Early Learning Lab Undergraduate Research Assistant and a research assistant in the Status, Cognition, and Motivation Lab, along with writing and editing for Spoon University. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude in 2014.
