Joshua P. has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple years. Joshua started their career in 1992 in the United States Navy as a Seaman - Boatswain's Mate. After leaving the Navy in 1996, they worked as a Plant Operator for USMX Alaska for a year. In 2000, they joined the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where they held the positions of IS Net Technician 6 and Computer Operator until 2005. From 2005 to 2010, they served as the Fairbanks IT Site Lead for SAIC, and then joined Wipro Limited as the Fairbanks IT Site Lead from 2010 to 2011. Joshua continued their career at UAF Community & Technical College as an Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as the Executive Director of Information Technology at Tanana Chiefs Conference. In 2017, they returned to UAF Community & Technical College as an Assistant Professor until 2020. Most recently, they joined Fairbanks Native Association as the Director of Information Technology in August 2020. Throughout their career, Joshua P. also worked at Tech Wise Systems as a Technology Consultant from 2019 to 2020.

Joshua P. graduated from Mt Edgecumbe High School in 1992 with a High School Diploma. Later, they attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2000 to 2004, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Information Technology Specialist. In addition to their formal education, Joshua P. obtained various certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in June 2012, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Windows Server 2000 from Microsoft in December 2003, A+ certification from CompTIA in December 2002, Network+ certification from CompTIA in September 2002, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in August 2002, and Microsoft Certified Professional in January 2002.
