Karla Farnsworth

Karla Farnsworth is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning education, government affairs, and sales. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools since December 2019, Karla provides instruction for grades K-12 across various subjects. In addition, Karla has been a Senior Independent Trunk Keeper for Matilda Jane Clothing since May 2016, successfully managing a home-based business focused on boutique clothing sales. Prior to these roles, Karla held significant positions including Federal Affairs Specialist and Acting Vice-President, Government Affairs at CHS Inc., where engagement with members of Congress and regulatory agencies was key. Earlier experience includes working as a Special Assistant to the Administrator at USDA-Agricultural Marketing Service, a Government Relations Associate at the National Pork Producers Council, and a Senior Staff Assistant in the United States Senate. Karla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Studies with a Minor in Communications from the University of Illinois Springfield.
