Terri Edmunds-Heard possesses extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Principal of Franconia Elementary School within Fairfax County Public Schools since October 2014. Prior experience includes roles as Principal of Steele Creek Elementary School and Walter G. Byers Elementary School in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, where leadership skills facilitated the development of instructional plans and support for economically disadvantaged students. Earlier in the career, Terri served as Assistant Principal at Mallard Creek Elementary School, overseeing academic activities, enforcing educational regulations, and fostering a collaborative school environment. Starting as an elementary school teacher in various grade levels with Metro Nashville Public Schools, Terri's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master's degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
