Anja Filan

Anja Filan, M.S., is an experienced educator with a focus on elementary education and special education. Currently serving as a 4th Grade Teacher and Special Education Teacher at Fairfield Public Schools since 2021, Anja also works as an Educational Coach and Workshop Facilitator for Roots ConnectED since April 2019. Previous roles include teaching 4th Grade and Special Education at Community Roots Charter School and KIPP NYC, as well as various teaching positions at Achievement First and City Year. Anja holds a Master of Science in Special Education and Teaching from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in teaching English and Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
