Julie Francoeur

Fairtrade Executive Team Global - Elected Member at Fairtrade International

Julie Francoeur is the Chief Executive Officer of Fairtrade Canada since June 2017 and serves as an elected member of the Fairtrade Executive Team globally since November 2020. Francoeur's extensive experience includes roles such as Member of the Nespresso Sustainability Advisory Board, Invited Professor at both the University of Ottawa and McGill University, and independent expert consultant focusing on sustainability, social compliance, and human rights. Previous positions encompass Senior Project Manager for the Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, where complex slum urbanization projects were led, and significant roles within Fairtrade International, including Business Development Manager and Regional Operations Manager. Francoeur holds degrees from McGill University and IAE Business School, along with studies at the University of Ghana and Collège Laflèche.
