Maria Medina

Maria Medina serves as the System Director of Equity Initiatives at Fairview Health Services, focusing on public health improvement and addressing health disparities in Minnesota. With over 15 years of experience in food systems and business strategy, Maria is also the Vice President of Strategy and Food Systems at Haystack Data Solutions. Additionally, Maria contributes as a board member for First Children's Finance and previously served as a Young Women's Initiative Executive Council Member under Governor Tim Walz. As the former Mayor and City Council Member of Richfield, Maria has a strong background in community leadership. Maria's previous roles include Principal Sustainability Design Consultant at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and a Bush Fellow, emphasizing collaborative leadership and health equity. Maria holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health Practice and relevant qualifications in Global Studies and Rural Sociology.
