Angie Alvaro

Angie Alvaro has extensive experience in the mortgage underwriting field, currently serving as the VP of Government Underwriting at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation since June 2010. In this role, Angie Alvaro manages a team of 20 mortgage underwriters and oversees operations involving FHA, VA, and USDA programs. Prior to this position, Angie Alvaro worked as an Underwriting Manager at GSF Mortgage from October 2008 to May 2010, where responsibilities included managing a small team of underwriters while maintaining personal production and training staff. Earlier experience includes serving as Underwriting Manager at Paragon Home Lending from February 2002 to September 2008, where Angie Alvaro led a group of wholesale channel underwriters and ensured they remained updated on guidelines and programs. Angie Alvaro studied at Bradley University from 1985 to 1987.
