Emmanuel J. Watkins

Emmanuel J. Watkins is a dedicated educator and professional with a focus on African American studies, currently serving as a lecturer at San Jose State University since January 2019. Previous roles include graduate recruiter at The University of Texas at San Antonio from August 2015 to January 2019, where responsibilities encompassed recruiting students for multiple colleges and advising student organizations. Emmanuel's experience also includes serving as an economic development coordinator for SAGE – San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside and working as an admissions ambassador at Berea College. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Education from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Bachelor of Arts in African & African American Studies from Berea College.
