Michael Wagg

Michael Wagg currently serves as the Director of New Business and Chief Underwriter at Serenia Life Financial, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Michael was the Risk Assessment Underwriting Manager at Foresters Financial, where responsibilities included leading a team of underwriters and fostering relationships with key internal partners. Michael's extensive tenure at Sun Life Financial spanned over thirteen years, during which various leadership roles were held, including AVP of Operational Learning and Performance and AVP of CSF New Business Operations. Notable achievements include implementing training programs that significantly improved employee engagement and operational efficiency, as well as introducing an AI model into the underwriting process. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University.
