Robert MacKinnon Gifiree

Robert MacKinnon GIFireE serves as the Director of Youth Rugby and Head Coach at East Kilbride Rugby Academy since August 2008, managing over 200 children and 25 coaches while collaborating closely with the Senior Management Committee, Scottish Rugby Union, and Local Authority Leisure Department. Concurrently, Robert holds roles as Crew Commander and Watch Commander at Falck Fire Services UK since April 2013, and previously at Glasgow Airport from April 2011 to December 2019, overseeing the daily operations and training initiatives within the Watch. Additionally, Robert is involved in a joint venture between Glasgow Airport and Ocean Marine Training to deliver MCA and OPITO approved courses and has held the position of Senior Instructor at Stream Marine Training, focusing on fire fighting courses. Robert's early career includes a role as Leading Firefighter at BAA Glasgow from January 2004 to March 2013. Education was completed at Queen Victoria School from 1985 to 1993.
