Deborah Secrist

Deborah Secrist is an experienced educator and human resources advisor with a diverse background in adult ESOL instruction and corporate personnel management. Since January 2019, Deborah has served as an Adult ESOL Instructor at Fairfax County-ACE, focusing on low advanced students using the Venture curriculum. Concurrently, from November 2016, Deborah has tailored ESOL curriculum for adult learners at Falls Church City Public Schools, utilizing task-based language teaching methods. Deborah also provides private ESL tutoring on an as-needed basis and has held a long-term role at Beltway Movers, where responsibilities included updating personnel manuals, ensuring compliance with labor standards, and enhancing corporate marketing materials. Deborah's educational background includes certifications in TESOL and degrees in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Social Work Certification from Meredith College.
