Bill Norbert began their career in 1995 as a Law Clerk for the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, working for Hon. Robert W. Clifford, Associate Justice. In 1996, they moved to the United States District Court for the District of Maine as a Law Clerk. In 1998, they became a State Representative from Portland for the Maine Legislature. In 2004, they worked as a Staff Attorney for the Disability Rights Center of Maine (now Disability Rights Maine). In 2005, they were an Assistant Attorney General for the Maine Office of the Attorney General. Since 2006, they have been the Government Affairs and Communications Manager for the Finance Authority of Maine, where they act as liaison between the Administration, Legislature, and other state agencies, manages agency media communication initiatives, and coordinates responses to inquiries from the press, Legislature, other agencies, and the Governor\u2019s office. Bill also monitors and responds to state and federal legislation that may affect the agency.
Bill Norbert completed their education history with a JD from the University of Maine School of Law in 1995. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Brown University between 1986 and 1990. Bill began their education journey at Portland High School, where they obtained their diploma between 1982 and 1986.
