Lucy Tomlin-Scargill has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Lucy started their career as a Project Worker at the Project - West Yorkshire Youth Association in 2002 and worked there until February 2007. Lucy then joined Igen - Connexions Leeds as an Effective Transitions Personal Advisor from February 2007 to April 2009. After that, in Skillz Education, they held the position of Vocational Education Coordinator from April 2009 to September 2011 and then became Quality Assurance Manager from September 2011 to December 2015. Lucy then worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at Barnardo's Willow Young Carers from July 2017 to April 2020. Lucy'smost recent position is as a Community Engagement Practitioner at Family Action since April 2020, where they are currently employed.

Lucy Tomlin-Scargill has a diverse educational background. In 1999-2002, they attended the University of Leeds where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A Hons) degree in Communication Arts. Lucy then pursued further education and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Youth and Community Studies from The University of Huddersfield in 2003-2004. In 2010, Lucy attended Leeds City College to obtain a PTLLS - Level 4 degree in Education. Lucy also engaged in additional professional development by participating in a Leadership and Management Development course offered by Leeds City Council in 2015. Moreover, they took a course in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment (AIVS) Level 5 from the National Open College Network in 2011-2012. In the same year, they completed a course on Team Teach from Leeds City Council.
