Equality, Diversity And Inclusion Manager at Family Action

Sirri Rånes has a diverse work experience with various roles in different organizations. In 2014, they worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher at English Tarragona. From 2015 to 2016, they served as an Administration Assistant at NVA, providing administrative support and managing collaboration with external individuals/organizations. In 2017, they joined LEAP Sports Scotland, where they held two roles. As a Project Officer (Communities & Events), they collaborated with groups and communities to deliver sporting and cultural events, led the development of a national strategy for Football v Homophobia Scotland, and managed regional networks of LGBTIQ+ sports activists. Later, they became the Participation & Engagement Manager, responsible for developing and delivering projects to increase the visibility and participation of LGBTIQ+ people in sport, while also maintaining partnerships. Currently, since 2022, they work at Family Action as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager.

Sirri Rånes completed their education at various institutions. Sirri attended Coleraine High School from 2002 to 2010 and studied Art and Design, Business Management, and English Literature. Sirri then enrolled at the University of Glasgow from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a focus on Business and Management. Continuing their education, Sirri completed a Master of Research at the University of Glasgow from 2015 to 2016, specializing in Equality and Human Rights.
