Elijah Kariuki

Elijah Kariuki is an HR specialist and a seasoned banker with over 13 years’ banking experience. His current role is the Chief Human Resource Officer. He was appointed Head of HR in February 2018. He started his career at Family Bank Ltd as an Intern in the ICT department in October 2007, he rose through the ranks in different functions as ICT Officer, Operations Officer in Trade Finance, HR Officer, Senior HR Officer, HR Assistant Manager, HR Manager to Senior Human Resource Business Partner. Prior to this appointment, Elijah was the acting Head of HR.

Elijah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Kenyatta University. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and a certificate in counselling both from the college of Human Resource Management. He is also a Certified Trustee (TDPK) and a Certified Executive Leadership Coach (ICF accredited).

Over the course of his career he has also attended numerous trainings covering Leadership, People Management, Labour Law, Performance Management and many more. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management and Human Resource Management from the United States International University-Africa (USIU). He is a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Kenya (IHRM).
