Emily Mcgranachan

Emily McGranachan is Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Family Equality, and also previously served as the Director of Family Engagement and East Coast Regional Manager. She is a proud queerspawn and has been advocating for LGBTQ rights and families for over fifteen years, ever since first attending Family Week in 2003.

Prior to joining Family Equality, Emily worked in alumni relations and career services at American University and was a founding member of Amnesty International’s LGBTQ Thematic Specialist Group. Emily earned her BA at Mount Holyoke College in International Relations and Spanish and MA in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C. She lives in Massachusetts with her family.
