France Garrido is a skilled museum educator and teaching artist with extensive experience in early childhood education and the arts. Currently serving as a Museum Educator ~ Early Childhood at The Newark Museum of Art since April 2008, France specializes in curriculum development, creative programming for families, and intergenerational art projects. France has also contributed as a teaching artist at Family Intervention Services, Inc. and SAFE in Hunterdon, collaborating with therapists to facilitate art projects for children and adults. Additionally, France has an independent artistic practice, exhibiting as a fine artist and curator, and has held various teaching positions that focus on supporting individuals in safe environments. France holds degrees in Fine Art from Ramapo College of New Jersey and has furthered studies in American Sign Language at the City University of New York.
