Michelle Santillan

Michelle Santillan has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Michelle is currently working as a Humanities Instructional Coach at Family Life Academy Charter Schools since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an English Teacher at DeWitt Clinton High School starting from 2018. In this role, they co-developed a culturally responsive English Language Arts curriculum for various student populations, implemented daily lesson plans, and focused on project-based learning. Michelle also had a role as an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College in 2020, where they lectured educators on problems and practices in secondary teaching. Before that, they served as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Boys Town from 2012 to 2017, providing general administrative support and managing schedules and calendars. Michelle then pursued a Master of Science in Education, specializing in English Education 7-12, at the same institution from 2018 to 2020. Their most recent educational endeavor was at The College of Saint Rose from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained a School Building Leader & School District Leader License in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Additionally, Michelle has obtained a certification as a Teacher Of English from the New York State Education Department, but the exact date is not specified.
