Derek Carlson

Derek Carlson serves as the Video Producer at Family Life Communications since August 2009, leading video production efforts that have generated over $500,000 in income and expanded the organization's global reach to over 16 million people. Additionally, Derek owns D. James Videography, an award-winning production company specializing in wedding films and documentaries, recognized with accolades such as "Best of Weddings" from TheKnot. Earlier experience includes serving as a Barista at Starbucks, a Production Intern at Kopelson Entertainment, and a Media Lab Instructor at Lee University, where Derek taught video editing and camera techniques. Derek holds a BS in Telecommunications Management from Lee University and a Minor in Film Production from the Los Angeles Film Studies Center.
