Lesli Bishop has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Lesli started their career in 1991 as the Director of Marketing at Family Savings Credit Union, where they eventually became the Chief Marketing Officer in June 2022. In 1999, they took on the role of Project Manager at JP King Auction Company until 2003. Since 2016, they have been serving as the President/CEO of Peek Publications LLC, specifically managing the Peek'Size Football Guide. Additionally, Lesli Bishop has been actively involved in the CUNA Marketing Business Development Council Executive Committee since 2019, holding roles such as Member, Member Engagement Chair, and Diamond Awards Committee Co-Chair.
Lesli Bishop obtained their Associate's degree from Gadsden State Community College from 1988 to 1991. Lesli then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management and Business from Jacksonville State University, which they completed between 1994 and 1998.
In 2000, Lesli obtained a State of Alabama Real Estate License from the State of Alabama Real Estate Commission. Three years later, in 2003, they obtained a State of Wyoming Real Estate License from the Wyoming Real Estate Commission.
In 2016, Lesli received a Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CU CME) certification from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). The following year, in 2017, they earned a Certified Digital Marketer certification from the eMarketing Association.
More recently, from 2016 to 2019, Lesli attended the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Certification School, where they obtained a Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) and CU Certified Business Development Professional (CU CBDP) certification. Lesli'sfield of study during this period was Marketing/Marketing Management and Business Development.

The concept of a credit union is one where people can get better financial services by pooling their resources and working together. In 1951, these principles were brought to Gadsden, AL, when a group of seven Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Inc. employees each pulled $5.25 from their pockets and chartered Family Savings Credit Union. Since that time, Family Savings has grown to over 65,000 members with eight branches located in Alabama and Georgia. We still serve the employees of Goodyear, but we've extended our family to also include: Alabama - Persons who live, worship, work (or regularly conduct business in), or attend school in Etowah, Marshall, DeKalb, Jackson, Cherokee, Calhoun, Cleburne, Madison, Blount and St. Clair Counties, Alabama. Georgia - Persons who live or work in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk and Walker Counties, Georgia. Today, Family Savings Credit Union is still driven by the same mission: Not for Profit, Not for Charity, But for Service We are dedicated to giving members a lower cost alternative to the traditional banking system.
