Stephen Hug

Stephen Hug currently serves as a Tour Guide at Providence Tour Company, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this, Stephen has had a significant career at Family Service of Rhode Island, where roles included Director of Grant Strategy since February 2017 and various positions in grant writing and communications from April 1996 to February 2017. Stephen's earlier experience includes roles as a Radio Disc Jockey under the name Steve Valentine at B101 from April 1990 to July 2007, Communication Manager at The Providence Center from April 1995 to April 1996, and Public Information Officer at the Fall River Mayor's Office from January 1985 to April 1995. Additional early broadcasting experience includes being a Radio Announcer from 1978 to 1985 and Assistant Park Announcer for the Boston Red Sox from 1976 to 1978. Stephen's educational background includes a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BA in English-Speech Communications from Boston College.
