Brian Porter

Brian Porter serves as the Director of Communications and Special Projects at Family Service Toronto since August 2010, where responsibilities include managing technical infrastructure and developing an organizational communications strategy that aligns with the organization's budget and strategic direction. In addition to this role, Brian has been a Workplace ESL Instructor at the Centre for Skills Development & Training since 2007. Brian's extensive experience in the media sector includes positions such as Director and Senior Director of New Media at the Royal Ontario Museum and Executive Producer at canada.com. Brian began a career in journalism as a Reporter/Editor at The Hamilton Spectator. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Carleton University and a TESL certification from the Toronto District School Board.
