Emily Bloomenthal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, policy, and legal advocacy, particularly in the fields of criminal justice reform and educational equity. Currently serving as the Director of Research at FAMM since June 2021, Emily previously held roles at Fair and Just Prosecution as a Senior Research and Policy Associate, where support was provided to elected prosecutors in advancing reform. With a strong foundation in research methodologies, Emily managed randomized controlled trials at the Student Social Support R&D Lab, recruiting over 10,000 participants to enhance student success. Additional experience includes promoting youth justice reform at Citizens for Juvenile Justice, representing children and indigent parents in the Committee for Public Counsel Services, and contributing to impactful litigation projects at the Education Law Center. Emily Bloomenthal holds a JD, cum laude, from New York University School of Law and a BA, cum laude, in Psychology with Highest Honors in Major from Williams College.
