Janet Smith-Flores, MBA, CSM has extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2000 at Verizon, they worked as a Customer Service Partner and later transitioned to roles such as Web-based Application Development/Training and Development Specialist, Marketing Manager-New Product Development, Manager-Product Development and Marketing, and Project Manager-Customer Journey Analytics. Their responsibilities included project management, training and development, marketing strategy, product development, and customer service. Janet also worked as a Portfolio Management/ScrumMaster at Verizon, where they facilitated agile ceremonies and provided coaching and assistance to stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle. Currently, they are working at Famous Smoke Shop as an IT Project Coordinator/ScrumMaster.

Janet Smith-Flores, MBA, CSM, has a diverse education history. Janet first attended Fordham University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Liberal Arts. In 2003, they pursued further education at Centenary University, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing in 2005.

Janet later obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. In 2011, they enrolled at Villanova University and earned a certificate in Essentials of Project Management. Two years later, they pursued an Associate Certificate in Project Management at The George Washington University.

In addition to their formal education, Janet pursued additional certifications. In 2014, they obtained a Master Certification in Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco. Furthermore, in 2018, they became a Certified Scrum Master under the Scrum Alliance.
