Jody Vogelaar

CMO at Fandango

Jody Vogelaar is Chief Marketing Officer for Fandango and NBC Sports Next, NBCUniversal’s portfolio of direct-to-consumer digital businesses in entertainment and sports that enhance the leisure and recreational time for more than 100 million consumers each month. He oversees all marketing, communications and creative for Fandango, the nation’s top movie ticketer; world-renowned movie and TV recommendations destination, Rotten Tomatoes; and premium on-demand streaming service, Vudu. He also leads marketing for top digital brands in the NBC Sports Next portfolio, including golf tee-time booking and course technology platforms GolfNow and TeeOff; golf membership and video content platform, GolfPass; and leading youth and recreational sports technology provider, SportsEngine.

Vogelaar is a data-driven marketing veteran with over 20 years of leadership across both linear and digital platforms, with an emphasis on growing technology and subscription businesses. Before the addition of Fandango’s digital portfolio to his purview, Vogelaar was Chief Customer Officer for NBC Sports Next.

Before joining NBC, Vogelaar held marketing and distribution roles at Disney Interactive, FOX, News Corp Europe & Asia, and Roku. At Roku, he led marketing for all of Roku’s streaming products, launched Roku’s smart TVs and managed partner marketing strategies with all the OEM brands.

Vogelaar is the recipient of more than 35 marketing and creative industry awards from PROMAX, CTAM, the American Advertising Federation, and multiple industry publications and associations, including a Peabody award and the Association of Online Publishers Digital Launch of the Year.
