Victor Chen

Victor Chen has extensive work experience in software engineering and front-end engineering roles. Victor began their career as a Programmer Analyst at UCLA Medical Center Computing Services in 1996 and then worked as a Senior Consultant/Lead Developer at Proxicom, Inc. from 2000 to 2003. Victor also worked as an Independent Technology Consultant from 2004 to 2007.

In 2007, Victor joined Fandango as a Senior Front-End Engineer and progressed through various roles, including Manager, Senior Manager, Director, and Senior Director of Front-End Engineering. During their time at Fandango, they led the implementation of progressive web applications, website redesigns, and the development of new platforms and advertising products. Victor also expanded and managed engineering teams and played a key role in the re-platforming of Fandango's website.

In addition to their work at Fandango, Victor served as a Dance Instructor at Your Neighborhood Studio from 2012 to 2015.

Victor Chen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Pepperdine University, which they completed from 2005 to 2007. Victor also pursued a course in User Experience Design from UCLA in 2010. Earlier, Victor studied East Asian Studies at UCLA from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in "Learning the OWASP Top 10" from LinkedIn in 2020.
