Maria Barker

Maria Barker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in multifamily customer engagement and asset management. Currently serving as the Director of Multifamily Customer Engagement at Fannie Mae since February 2014, Maria has held various roles including Multifamily Customer Account Manager and Climate Impact Policy Advisor. Prior to rejoining Fannie Mae in 2008, Maria worked as the Director of Asset Management at Telesis Corporation and as a Multifamily Housing Loan Officer at the Montgomery County Maryland Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Maria's academic background includes a Master's in Urban Planning from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Women's Studies from Swarthmore College. Additionally, Maria contributed to the academic field as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute in 2012.
