Neela Rahimi

Neela Rahimi, Ph.D., currently serves as a Data Scientist and GenAI Engineer at Fannie Mae, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this role, Neela was a Machine Learning Engineer at PrimeAI and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth College of Engineering, where significant contributions were made to the Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics Lab under the guidance of Dr. Ming Shao. Notable achievements include improving memory efficiency in online continual learning models by 42% during NSF-funded research projects. Additional experience includes a Deep Learning Research Intern position at Signify, where expertise in computer vision led to the development of machine learning models for autonomous plant growth detection, and a Data Scientist role at Bamilo, focusing on business intelligence and data analytics. Neela holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Systems, a Master's degree in Computer Science, and a Master's in Industrial Engineering, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics.
