Rob Downie

Senior Researcher - Institutional Research, Strategy And Planning

Rob Downie is a Senior Researcher at Fanshawe College, with a focus on institutional research, policy evaluation, student engagement and retention, strategic enrolment management, and mental health research since September 2010. Previously, Downie served as an Instructor at Brock University, teaching research methods in the Master's of Applied Disabilities program for a brief period in 2010 to 2011. As a PhD candidate and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Western Ontario from 2003 to 2011, Downie contributed to the Workforce Ageing in the New Economy (WANE) project, specializing in age-related workplace research. Early career experience includes an Analyst position at Surrey Place Centre, where mixed methods research and program evaluation for developmental disabilities were conducted, as well as a PhD research placement at the Hospital for Sick Children focused on psychosocial oncology. Education was completed at Western University, culminating in 2010.
